Quick Start Guide
Don't worry, this is easy. There are only 3 elements of an encoded message.
1: YOUR MESSAGE
This is the really easy part. Say anything you want. No one will ever know.
2: PASSCODE/KEY
This is sort of like a password for you message, but it's more than that, because the key is used in the actual algorithm which encodes your message. Message recipients must have the key to unlock the message, so you'll both have to agree on a key before anyone can read your messages. (If you're communicating with the same person over and over, we suggest you agree on a single key and use it for all your messages.)
Pro Tip: The longer the key, the more secure your message will be.
3: ENCRYPTION FONT
This is our invention and it's exclusive to Encodr. Instead of the random jumble of letters and numbers which is the hallmark of traditional encryption, our Encyption Fonts give you the ability to control the APPEARANCE of your encoded message. In fact, if you have an idea for a new font, please contact us and let us know.
Pro Tip: On the Encode page, you can try out all the fonts until you get it just right without re-typing your message over and over. You're welcome.
4: ONE LAST THING . . .
For your convenience, every encoded message generates a unique decode link. This is something we came up with so that message recipients don't have to copy/paste the entire message to decode it. All they need to do it click on the decode link and our app will auto-fill the encoded message on the decode page.
Pro Tip: You don't have to include the decode link when you send a message to a friend, but it sure is helpful if you're communicating on social media app. And it saves a little time if you're having a longer conversation.
